I hate to be a dummy about it. But how do I watch for instance, Barry Ernest’s discussion of The Girl on the Stairs from I believe last years COPA conference from this website, please? Thank you.
COPA’s 2012 Conference was videotaped. A donation of $50 or more to COPA PO Box 772, Washington, DC 20044 or onine here using the donate button will get a full set of last year’s DVDs.
This is extremely disappointing! I really wanted to watch the conference.
Why advertise that you’re having this 50th year anniversary conference and then
have such lousy tech support? Many people are interested in this topic especially
with such educated writer’s, people who were THERE at the time of the JFK
assassination, one of the world’s best Medical Examiners, and a whole host of
interesting people who were involved or knew people who were involved. To say
I’m disappointed is a major understatement! I really hope you can fix what
you’ve recorded and allow people to watch the conference in it’s entirety
without having to pay a minimum of fifty dollars. I’d be happy to pay if I
had the money. COPA is a worthy cause. I thank you all for the work you’ve
done over the years.
The line up of speakers and topics are the best by far, the inability to get this stream up and running is a huge disappointment, I can only hope that the conference was documented as to share all these folks research as well as personal knowledge that you can only get from the source.
I attended this year’s conference in Dallas, Texas at the Aloft Hotel, from November 22-24, 2013.This year’s conference marked the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The major political assassinations of the 60’s remain as unsolved cold cases and continue to haunt the national conscience. History, justice and any hope for real change demand that these cases be reopened for a fair and impartial judicial review. COPA continues to present the latest and best scientific, documentary, legal and historic evidence .
I was one of the free tech volunteers at this year’s conference. I’m ultimately responsible for the failure of the live stream. I did videotape the entire conference and I’m working as fast as possible to get the DVDs made and delivered to John. Not like an explanation will suffice, however, in the past we used the same streaming service (U Stream) to bring the remote speakers to the conference as well as to stream the conference live for free to COPA supporters. While this worked well for the live stream, it didn’t work well for in-house conference audience. I decided to use a software (Zoom.us) that I use to teach film classes to students around the world. It’s stable, easy for the speaker to use, it allows the speaker to see and hear the audience and allows for a true Q&A. The live stream unexpectedly wouldn’t work with the Zoom feed so we cobbled together a fix for the live stream, which was wholly below expectations for such a professional research organization. I promised John that all of his tech needs would be covered and I let him and you down. My sincere apologies for the frustrations experienced by the COPA supporters who couldn’t make it to Dallas. I’m working to make it up to John as quickly as possible.
That’s okay Randy. I appreciate your efforts. There was a small time when I was able to watch some stream, and I am grateful for that. I hope you enjoyed the conference, and thanks for posting to the discussion. Technology is difficult and we will await a chance to see what media is available.
The information that was distributed over the course of the 2013 Conference gave me the inspiration to re-enter the field….. for the truth must be found. Ome day the truth must be found. What happened on Nov. 22, 1963. And in April and June of 1968. All we want is the truth….
