One June 10, 1963, at the inauguration address to the graduating class of American University, President John F. Kennedy outlined his call for an end to the Cold War, a lasting peace and the end to the nuclear arms race and testing. This put him directly at odds with the hard-line Cold Warriors in the Joint Chiefs and the CIA. This quote is prescient.
